Three years after leaving the Red Bull Arena, Christopher Nkunku is set to return to RB Leipzig.

According to Sky Germany, RB Leipzig have reached an agreement in principle with AC Milan to sign the 28-year-old on loan.

Sky Italia reports that Leipzig will pay a €4 million loan fee, with the deal including a €28 million purchase option for Die Roten Bullen.

The deal is expected to be finalised within the next couple of days.

Nkunku played for RB Leipzig between 2019 and 2023, before joining Chelsea for €60 million. Just a year ago, he moved to AC Milan for €37 million.
