Aston Villa enquire about Leverkusen forward Christian Kofane

Aston Villa have reportedly approached Bayer Leverkusen about Christian Kofane.

Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane is the subject of interest from Aston Villa, according to The Athletic.

The publication claims that the Premier League outfit have made an enquiry for the 20-year-old Cameroon international.

However, the report also states that Leverkusen have no intention of letting Kofane leave before the transfer window closes in a week's time.

Villa made the contact as they see Kofane as a candidate to replace Ollie Watkins, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.

Kofane has also been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs in the past, including Arsenal and Newcastle United.
