There’s no doubt that Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is one of the biggest releases of the year, with more than thirteen years since the previous entry, which debuted in 2011. Under developer Saber Interactive, the sequel features Titus and his fellow Space Marines trying to protect an imperial world against an invasion.

Besides the single-player campaign, gamers will be able to enjoy a variety of joint missions played by teams of three in co-op, as well as competitive matches where Space Marines can show their strength. However, what the game desperately needs alongside these features is a Pokemon x Warhammer 40k crossover that will captivate fans of both franchises!

Pokemon x Warhammer 40k is Something Gamers Need

Ever since its debut way back in 1996, the Pokemon franchise has significantly impacted the gaming culture. Even beyond the Nintendo games, the series has a widespread presence when it comes to trading cards, animated series, movies, and merchandise, captivating generations for decades at this point.

However, what’s frustrating is the fact that Nintendo is reluctant to collaborate with other gaming franchises when it comes to the Pokemon series. However, that hasn’t stopped gamers from theorizing, or even delivering concept video of what a crossover between the iconic Warhammer franchise, and Pokemon could look like.

In this concept crossover, the Pokemon franchise is reimagined with the Warhammer 40k universe, blending its playful nature with the war-torn destructive universe of the 41st millennium.

Some of the most iconic mons’ such as Pikachu, Dragonite, and Mr. Mime, take on the roles of Pathfinder, Custodes, and daemonic entities. These brand-new characters can bring the nostalgia of Pokemon into a dystopian future, creating a stark contrast that can’t be seen in any other franchise.

While it’s highly unlikely Nintendo will ever agree to such a crossover, modders can always make such dreams a reality. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that once Space Marine 2 hits the shelves globally, the modding community will take note of this unique idea.

Space Marine 2‘s Post-Launch Roadmap Details Revealed

The next Space Marine game is all set to launch on September 9th, with those who’ve purchased special editions being given the chance to play a few games a few days before the global release.

While the game already looks to be packed with content, Focus Entertainment has revealed additional drops for the game via a post-release roadmap.

The upcoming seasons will follow a basic format, providing three new game modes, weapons, missions, and additional in-game content for absolutely free while giving Season Pass owners cosmetics. The featured chapters for the third and fourth seasons still haven’t been announced, but it’s already confirmed that the paid content for Season 2 will be themed around Dark Angels.

As it’s not clear if only loyalist groups would get skins, Chaos-aligned chapters can receive cosmetic packs in the future. It’s already confirmed that several Traitor Legions will be in the game.
