Pierce Brosnan is currently starring as Conrad Harrigan in MobLand, but his Paramount+ domination does not end there. The James Bond star returned to the spy thriller genre with 2014’s The November Man, which saw him go across the pond and be a CIA agent instead of MI6. The film is now back on the charts and is trending at 7th place on the streamer.
Unlike most yesteryear stars, Brosnan has constantly reinvented himself and remains a star, despite his James Bond years being long behind him. With MobLand being renewed for a third season, he will continue to rule the streaming charts with his multiple appearances, eventually leading other films of his to gain renewed interest from fans.

The movie saw him play Agent Peter Devereaux and reunite with Dante’s Peak filmmaker Roger Donaldson. The film has been praised for its action and consistently lands on the most underrated action thrillers list. The film was a decent success at the box office, earning $34 million against a $15 million budget (via The Numbers).
The James Bond-meets-John Wick thriller has dominated the charts for the past week, fluctuating in the bottom half. However, it is not a coincidence that Brosnan’s movie is on the charts. His recent leading role in MobLand, which also streams on Paramount+, definitely has a lot to do with this ranking.
The crime thriller sees him alongside Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren as part of a mob family in London. Brosnan returned for season 2 and will also be back in season 3, which is currently in development. The TV show, however, has not fared as well this season, as it has dropped to 6th place, behind Lioness, South Park, and NCIS.
However, the show still has plenty of episodes to release in the season, with the third episode dropping on October 2, 2026. It is bound to climb the charts as new episodes release every week. For now, fans have a lot of Brosnan content to munch on Paramount+.
Brosnan’s Philosophy on Acting Is Why He’s Still a Top Star
A still from MobLand | Credits: Paramount+Pierce Brosnan’s 2014 movie The November Man finding a new lease of life on streaming is proof enough that the actor’s heyday is far from over. It has been more than two decades since he was replaced as James Bond by Daniel Craig, and while he has not had a role as big and global as 007, Brosnan has still remained one of the most sought-after actors.
In 2025 alone, Brosnan had many releases, including The Thursday Murder Club and Black Bag. He played Doctor Fate in the DCEU in Black Adam and will soon be seen in the Cliffhanger reboot and Extraction 3. It is a pretty stacked lineup for a veteran star. And the secret lies in his approach to acting.
Talking to Helen Mirren in Interview Magazine, Brosnan spoke about delving deep into the character and enjoying that process, as well as reinventing himself as a star. He said,
You have to be aware and present within yourself and allow yourself to have these emotions, because it’s always constant as an actor, constructing and destroying somewhat of yourself to make the character, to be the character, to investigate yourself, to put yourself into that moment in time.
Brosnan also spoke about his approach to success and how he wished for it, got it, and then just moved on from it, focusing on the craft rather than on the appearance of success. All this shows that the 007 star has not let the image of Bond affect his method of acting, and he has retained his status as one of the top stars in the business.
