Diddy has been photographed roaming the grounds of his new home, the Fort Dix Federal Prison in New Jersey. Dressed in warm clothes, the rapper looked unrecognizable with a full white beard.
The photo was obtained by TMZ while the Bad Boy Records founder was taking a stroll at the prison during his recreation time. He was dressed in an orange beanie and a navy blue puffy jacket.

— FearBuck (@FearedBuck) November 1, 2025This is the first time fans are getting to see how time has treated Diddy ever since his September 2024 arrest.
Prior to getting transferred to Fort Dix, Diddy was locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, a prison certainly not known for its kindness towards inmates.
According to CNN, the rapper has been transferred here after he requested to take part in its drug treatment program and be closer to his family. While Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars, the 13 months he has already served will be reduced from his sentence. Meaning, he only has to hold on tight for 2 and a half more years.

Diddy Gets a Job at Fort Dix Federal Prison
Irrespective of his status in the outside world, Sean “Diddy” Combs isn’t being given any special treatment at the prison. As per TMZ, the man who was once surrounded by all kinds of luxuries is now being put to work at Fort Dix.
For his first job behind bars, sources tell the outlet that Combs has been given the task of working in the prison’s laundry room, where he will be washing and drying dirty clothes.
Via TMZ, federal prosecutors stated at the trial that Combs once had an army of personal assistants at his beck and call when he was a free man, calling upon them for even the simplest of tasks, such as charging his phone or getting water.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Department of Justice established a Commissary at Fort Dix, which allows inmates to keep a bank-type account for the money they earn as well as the funds deposited by their friends and family.
Inmates can spend their money on a variety of items, including Diet Pepsi ($6.60), Popcorn ($1.45), Pop-Tarts ($2.85), meals, cereals, nuts, candy, and more. They can also purchase medical items, cleaning products, and more (via bop.gov). It is also noted that prices may change without notice.
What Diddy Can Expect From His Time at Fort Dix
Joe Giudice | Credits: @joe.giudice/InstagramRight off the bat, Fort Dix is a much better place to be in comparison to the brutal MTD. Former inmate Joe Giudice (Real Housewives of New Jersey) and his lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., opened up to Fox News Digital about what Combs may face at the federal prison.
Leonard stated, “some poeple would say [it] is a pretty easy place to do time.” He added that it is a highly sought-after program by eligible prisoners and that it also offers a Residential Drug Abuse Program for its inmates. He claimed that it is a “very, very intensive therapeutic program” that goes on for 6 to 12 months.
While Combs is destined to be released on May 08, 2028, Leonard stated that if he completes 12 months of the drug abuse program, he would have that time taken off his sentence. Which means that he could possibly be out as soon as February 2027.
Moreover, Leonard added that when he visited Fort Dix’s satellite camp, he was shocked to see inmates moving about freely and not in a fenced area. He said,
Here they were out and about in the parking lot, not bothering anybody. Then you realize that’s because you’re in a camp setting, right? The camp in particular, they have access to kind of move around the grounds of the prison complex. And they were going from building to building, but they weren’t doing it within this big fenced-in area. They’re kind of moving around. And it’s not a bad place to be, in all candor. It’s not a bad place to be if you have to be locked up in the federal prison system.
As for Giudice, who served 41 months at Fort Dix, he stated that inmates have family visiting as much as possible. He stated, “Family visits – basically, you come out to meet up in one big room and everybody’s there and your family comes. I had family coming every weekend, you know what I mean, friends, family every weekend.“
However, he did mention that even Fort Dix is not immune to inmate-on-inmate violence, as he recalled seeing a group stabbing each other for unspecified reasons. There certainly are worse places Combs could be serving his sentence from!
