After the phenomenal success in 2025, the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with Toei Animation, have announced that they will once again host One Piece Night this year. The event is set to take place on July 2, 2026, with the Los Angeles Dodgers collaborating with the popular Japanese anime franchise.

The event will feature exclusive merchandise, themed entertainment, and special fan experiences. With ticket demand already driving prices up, One Piece Night is shaping up to be one of the biggest anime-themed sporting events of the year.

Dodgers and Toei Animation Bring Back One Piece Night for 2026

The Dodgers and Toei Animation have confirmed that the One Piece Night will once again be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The event will take place as part of the Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres matchup taking place at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled at 7:10 p.m. PT.

The return follows the success of the inaugural One Piece Night in 2025, which Toei Animation described as one of its biggest One Piece promotions of the year. Dodgers Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Lon Rosen praised the partnership, calling it an event that “cannot be missed” (via Dodger Blue).

On the other hand, Senior Director & Head of Marketing of Toei Animation, Lisa Yamatoya, pointed out how the One Piece Night became one of the biggest promotional events of the franchise in 2025. In addition, the renewed collaboration comes as part of Toei’s wider efforts to promote One Piece in North America, including the recently announced ONE PIECE Fest 2026 in the United States.

What Fans Will Get During One Piece Night 2026

Like last year’s event, One Piece Night 2026 will feature several themed activities before and after the game. Fans can expect a pregame activation at Centerfield Plaza, a ceremonial first pitch, and a postgame drone show showcasing fan-favourite characters from the series.

The biggest attraction for many attendees will once again be the exclusive giveaway. The first 40,000 ticketed fans entering the stadium will receive a co-branded One Piece and Dodgers straw hat.

The giveaway pays tribute to Monkey D. Luffy’s iconic straw hat, one of the most recognizable symbols in anime history. During the 2025 event, attendees also received a limited-edition ONE PIECE CARD GAME promotional card featuring artwork from creator Eiichiro Oda.

Although the Dodgers and Toei Animation have not announced a trading card giveaway for 2026, some fans have speculated that a new promotional card could accompany this year’s straw hat. However, as of now, no additional giveaway items have been confirmed.
