One Piece: Eiichiro Oda Might be Hinting at Elbaf Arc’s Biggest Twist Right at the Beginning with the Most Obvious Tell Fans Missed

The recent release of One Piece chapter 1127 has sparked a huge debate within the fanbase regarding the critical errors in the chapter. Ever since the spoilers came out, One Piece fans have been observing some major glitches in the manga panels that are a rarity for Eiichiro Oda. Thus, a big chunk of the fanbase believes that these errors are caused by hallucinations.

These hallucinations are probably affecting the Straw Hat Pirates’ perspective and, as a result, causing glitches for the fans as well. However, there was no proof to prove either of the points. It was finally hoped that Oda might clear these errors or mistakes in the next chapter, but it looks like the mangaka has already dropped some hints about it.

A One Piece fan claims that a certain panel in One Piece manga chapter 1127 establishes that all of these alleged errors in the narrative are due to hallucinations that might have been brought on by Elbaf’s prince, Loki. This panel claimed that Luffy turned down food for the first time in One Piece’s history, thus, in turn, confirming the hallucinations.

Eiichiro Oda Has Already Hinted At The Hallucinations

The One Piece chapter 1127, which marks the beginning of the Elbaf arc, holds a lot of importance in the upcoming storyline. As Elbaf is the second phase in the final saga, it is bound to reveal many major developments in the One Piece plot that are going to introduce new changes and twists. Thus, when fans got to see these critical errors in such a crucial chapter, they got worried.

While some blame Eiichiro Oda for it, others think that all these are caused by hallucinations, as the arc has a mystical and confusing start.

However, a One Piece fan account @Leleo2211 on X recently proved that all of this is an elaborate plan of Oda to make the Elbaf narrative intriguing. And he hinted at it through his protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy.

In one of the panels, when Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji defeat the mysterious giant cat, Luffy is seen rejecting to eat it, which comes as a major shock. The Straw Hat’s captain has never ever turned down, especially meat, which hints that the current plot is indeed a hallucination.

Luffy’s Love For Meat in One Piece

Ever since Luffy’s character was introduced in One Piece, the one thing that has remained constant about his personality is his hunger. Although he might have a small stature, his hunger for food, especially meat, can be on par with the giants in One Piece. In fact, he has never turned down food, and even in dying situations, he has been seen fantasizing about meat.

He has been an avid lover of meat since childhood, and this love stems from his Monkey D. lineage and his lifestyle as a kid. He was raised by bandits and was placed in a forest environment for most of his life. Thus, his love for meat is understandable, but he still manages to shock everyone with his indefinite appetite.

His love for meat is the sole reason why a majority of One Piece fans believe that the first few chapters of Elbaf are a part of the hallucinations. Plus, there is no way Eiichiro Oda would make such critical errors at this point of the One Piece story.
