Amidst the Yellowstone drama following Kevin Costner’s exit, among other things, Taylor Sheridan is once again returning to the screens with his smash hit spin-off series. With Brandon Sklenar being one of the big names leading prominent roles in its upcoming episodes as well, 1923 will soon be debuting on the screens with its second season.

That said, Sklenar has made some really epic promises with regard to the forthcoming ranch-y drama, keeping up fans’ enthusiasm with the same. To say the least, this approaching season, which reportedly cost around a stunning $200 million to make (beating even Game of Thrones!), has some really dark drama impending that will have fans constantly at the edge of their seats.

Brandon Sklenar is Confident 1923 is Going to be “Absolutely Incredible”

After the successful run of season one of the series in 2022, 1923 will soon be returning to the screens with its second season. And so will It Ends with Us actor Brandon Sklenar, who perfectly embodies the iconic cowboy Spencer Dutton in the saga.

While the filming for the same has seemingly started, Sklenar is already incredibly excited and confident about it all, as he confessed to Forbes:

I can confidently say that it’s going to be absolutely incredible. The tone shifts a lot and it’s definitely a bit darker. It’s very beautiful.

So this one has some darker tonal shifts, eh? Sounds good, but that’s not all. Returning alongside Sklenar are top-notch artists Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as well, as the actor shared during the same interview while trying his best not to give away any spoilers:

It’s so hard for me to not give away spoilers. I do get plenty of Helen and Harrison time, and it’s going to be special.

Of course, more of all three of these actors along with Taylor Sheridan taming the wild ride could only mean a lot of drama is about to prevail – something that fans have been seeking from the Western world for quite some time now.

But while that’s that, The Big Ugly actor has more to confess as he shares his excitement, especially over the finale of this upcoming season, which Sklenar revealed would notably be the final season for this Yellowstone spin-off (as per The Hollywood Reporter).

During the same interview, Sklenar went on to talk more about how the Helen Mirren starrer spin-off would be continuing its run, pointing out that Sheridan has, indeed, done an epic job with the finale. He said:

I mean, the finale of the series is probably one of the best things I’ve read in my life.

Surprisingly enough, this finale had been hinted to him by none other than the mastermind showrunner himself, along with the “full arc” of his character. As the Midway star candidly revealed:

I’ve kind of known how it was going to end since day one – Taylor [Sheridan] kind of told me. I knew the full arc of Spencer from day one, so in shooting part one, you’re mindful of where he needs to go. I’m really excited.

All of this being put out there, along with the fact that this season’s budget actually surpassed even Game of Thrones, it might as well be expected that some serious peak storylines are awaiting fans through this forthcoming revival season of the 2022 series.

While no official release date has been announced for 1923 season 2 yet, its first season can be streamed on Paramount+.
