Denis Vavro, as confirmed by the club this afternoon, has left VfL Wolfsburg with immediate effect.

The 30-year-old bids farewell to the Autostadt club and will continue his career with Czech topflight outfit Viktoria Plzeň.

Vavro had been with the Wolves since August 2024, when the Slovakia international initially joined on loan from FC Copenhagen.

Joining permanently in May 2025, Vavro made a total of 52 competitive appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Since the Wolves' relegation from the German first division, the central defender did not feature in the current 2.Bundesliga campaign.

Wolfsburg's statement finished by wishing the player every success in his new sporting challenge and for the rest of his career.
