The Bundesliga is back! On Matchday 1, Freiburg host Werder Bremen in an exciting opening fixture for both sides. Goalkeeper Mio Backhaus (and potentially Eren Dinkçi as well) will face his former club, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup.

Julian Schuster’s side will be looking to improve on last season and push for a return to the European places, with a Europa League spot potentially within reach. Bremen, meanwhile, have one primary objective: survival.
