Southampton FC have officially completed the signing Keven Schlotterbeck, as announced by both clubs this evening, 27 August.

The centre-half has signed a contract with the Championship club, who controversially missed out promotion last season, until 2029.

One year before his contract expires, FC Augsburg will receive a transfer fee of approximately €3.85million,

With a further €650,000 achievable in bonuses, Augsburg sporting director Benni Weber was largely happy with the deal:

“Keven has always been open with us about wanting to take a step abroad at some point in his career. Now he has the opportunity to fulfill this wish in England.

"At the same time he can build a long-term sporting perspective there. The discussions with him were always open and very respectful.”
