After a spell of two seasons in the Turkish Süper Lig, Felix Uduokhai has officially made his return to the Bundesliga.

Union Berlin have announced the signing of the 28-year-old from Beşiktaş, with the Köpenick club keeping all details confidential.

Having let go of their central defensive duo Danilho Doekhi and Diogo Leite, the capital club were in desperate need of replacements.

Now, Uduokhai comes in alongside Marvin Friedrich and Zeno Van den Bosch, who had already joined this summer.

Beşiktaş, who first signed Uduokhai from FC Augsburg for €5million, made a total of 58 appearances for the Istanbul outfit.

“Felix brings a profile that is not easy to find on the market. He is strong in tackles, has good playmaking abilities, and knows the demands of high-level football.

“He played many years in the Bundesliga as well as a top Süper Lig club. We are convinced that he will give our defense an important boost,” said managing director Horst Heldt.
