While she’s now entirely focused on her acting career in the wake of her recent, Allie does end up catching real feelings for Dean despite initially wanting nothing serious. Considering their connection was teased throughout season 1, with episode 6 serving as a soft launch for what to expect from season 2, it’ll be interesting to see how their bond unfolds.

2 Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis

Like Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn’s Dean has also been elevated to a lead status for the new season, with their romance set to be the central focus.

Although Dean has long been the ultimate campus golden boy who has never really had to work hard for anything, he will finally be pushed into some notable growth. Thanks to Allie’s sharp wit and emotional honesty, he will evolve from a lovable party boy into a far more grounded and fiercely protective partner.

3 Ella Bright as Hannah Wells

Instead of riding off into the sunset, Ella Bright’s Hannah Wells will return in season 2 in a supporting role, acting as the main voice of reason for Allie.

Having found her match in Garrett, the season will also explore Hannah and Garrett’s life beyond the honeymoon phase as they step into more adult responsibilities and navigate the challenges of maintaining a serious relationship alongside everything else happening around them.

5 Antonio Cipriano as John Logan

Antonio Cipriano’s John Logan will receive a heavily expanded role in the upcoming season as he pursues his own high-stakes romantic connection.

Having once harbored a secret crush on Hannah before realizing his best friend was falling for her, Logan has also been a core member of the hockey house. Expect him to remain central as new challenges arise both on and off the ice, especially with the arrival of India Fowler’s Grace, his newfound love interest.

6 Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker

Jalen Thomas Brooks’s John Tucker is the calm, reliable, and level-headed member among his more chaotic teammates, often acting as a steady presence who balances out the group’s emotional highs and lows with quiet humor and maturity.

Although it isn’t until the fourth book that Tucker finally gets his own love interest, season 2 will continue building on his dependable role within the circle, as he’s essentially the glue that holds the hockey house together.

7 India Fowler as Grace Ivers

India Fowler is one of the most exciting additions to the cast, starring as Grace Ivers, the primary love interest of John Logan.

Although the dynamic between Logan and Grace, who arrives at Briar slightly sheltered and emotionally guarded, is the focal point of the second book of the series, even though the show is skipping past it, expect their bond to gradually develop in the background.

8 Steve Howey as Phil Graham

The former legendary pro-hockey player and overbearing father of Garrett, Steve Howey’s Phil Graham, will continue to cast a massive shadow over his son’s hockey career.

He serves as a strong foil for Garrett’s growth as a character, pushing the narrative beyond his romantic life and into deeper family tension, while also influencing his son’s own ambitions and path toward the NHL.

9 Phillipa Soo as Scarlett

Phillipa Soo‘s Scarlett will mark her debut in the series as the guest director for a university play, who shakes up the campus art department.

Her character will directly weave into Allie’s own acting ambitions, with Scarlett, an accomplished theater artist herself, serving as the demanding mentor of the series’ lead.

10 Julia Sarah Stone as Jules Logan

Julia Sarah Stone will reprise their role as Jules Logan, the sibling of John Logan, bringing a familiar grounding presence and warmth to his storyline, alongside occasional sibling banter.

Their character will further highlight Logan’s family dynamic as he navigates his own evolving goals both on and off the field, particularly as his romantic life begins to take shape and challenge him in new ways.

11 Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell

The star football player of Briar is both charismatic and intensely competitive, and will return in season 2 as part of the broader campus athletic circle.

Despite belonging to an entirely different sport, Khobe Clarke’s Beau Maxwell shares a deep bond with the hockey house, largely stemming from his childhood friendship with Dean, which keeps him closely connected to the group’s evolving dynamics.

Riley Davis’s Sean McCall, a regular student of Brian, served as Allie’s on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend and was her primary romantic interest throughout season 1.

14 Brandon Scott as Daveed

Like Birdie, Brandon Scott’s Daveed is a supporting friend within the hockey house, who contributes to the camaraderie among his teammates.

Unfortunately, Josh Heuston won’t be reprising his role as Justin Kohl in the upcoming season following scheduling conflicts. Although a concrete release date for the highly anticipated season 2 is yet to be unveiled, an early-2027 window does seem plausible. Hopefully, the show will continue to extend past the third book, allowing the full saga to be translated on the small screen.
