Obsession Box-Office: Curry Barker Aims for The Stars With $1M Budget 

In an era where horror movies often rely on massive budgets and franchise recognition, Obsession has become one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026! It’s a one-man-army project, all written, directed, and edited by Curry Barker, and it cost $1 million to produce the movie (via The Numbers). 

So far, it has earned a whopping $23.1 million, out of which $16 million comes from the domestic box office. Obsession follows Bear Bailey, a lonely music store employee who is in love with his childhood friend Nikki, and to win her affection, he uses a supernatural object. But his wish spirals into something horrifying as Nikki’s affection transforms into a violent obsession, instability, and codependency!

This approach could expand the mythology of the One Wish Willow and keep the franchise creatively fresh.
