There were still disruptions to O-Train Line 1 service between St-Laurent and Blair stations Friday morning as OC Transpo worked to fix a problem that arose Thursday.

In a memo to city councillors, Rick Leary, the head of OC Transpo said that “additional components were found to be damaged, and more time is required to safely complete this work.”

O-Train Line 1 service was disrupted just after Thursday morning rush hour as a train stopped at Cyrville Station because of the damage.

OC Transpo said the train came to a stop at around 9:50 a.m. after a component was damaged between St-Laurent and Cyrville stations.

R1 bus service and shuttles buses will run between St-Laurent and Blair stations, Leary said.

“Repair work between St-Laurent and Cyrville stations will continue following the afternoon peak period,” Leary said. “Once the work is done, the OCS will be inspected before service resumes at all platforms. It’s anticipated that service at all stations will be restored on Saturday, however, an additional update will follow later today.”
