Nintendo’s June 2026 Direct is shaping up to be the company’s big summer blowout! It will cover both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. At the same time, landing just after some major showcases in the gaming industry.

It will be a full-length presentation, followed immediately by an extended Nintendo Treehouse: Live. So, you’ll need to block off a solid chunk of time if you’re planning to watch live.

Nintendo has confirmed a Nintendo Direct for Tuesday, June 9, 2026. It has a global start time of 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM BST and is scheduled to run for about 45-50 minutes.

The showcase will focus on games arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch this year. However, that’s not all; it will be followed by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live segment with deeper gameplay dives.

What to Expect from the June 2026 Nintendo Direct

Nintendo has explicitly stated that this Direct will highlight games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in 2026. Hence, it will be the first big, cross-generation lineup show since the new hardware launch.

Keep in mind that it’s a general Direct, not a Partner Showcase. While first-party tentpoles and returning franchises will steal the spotlight, expect a few major third-party Switch 2 games to clear up their release windows as well.

You wouldn’t be too far off if you expect entries or updates for big series like Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, 3D Mario, and Splatoon tailored to the new hardware.
