Barrie school draws backlash after replacing Canadian flag with Pride flag
The reaction on social media was largely united after an elementary school in Barrie removed its Canadian flag and replaced it with a Pride flag in honour of Pride Month. “It’s this type of stuff is why people are ripping down Pride flags,” a Reddit user said. “I don’t agree with it but the more authority pushes something the more people are going to push back.”

Feds completely missed ‘unregistered’ Titan sub, TSB reveals
Even though Transport Canada was aware OceanGate was using Canadian ports and Canadian-flagged vessels as support craft, they weren’t aware the company’s doomed carbon-fibre submersible held no active registration in any country. In a scathing report into the deadly June 18, 2023, Titan submersible implosion that killed OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and four passengers, Canada’s Transportation Safety Board highlighted regulatory blind spots and federal bureaucratic roadblocks that allowed the doomed experimental sub to operate unfettered out of Canadian ports.

WARMINGTON: Toronto guns-for-hire scheme included $1,000-per-shooting payday
For a cool grand per job, people were anonymously ordering up the shooting of Jewish, American and Toronto business targets the same way you order a pizza. It was that easy. And these orders were being delivered devastatingly hot. The going rate to hire a teen gunman over a phone app to shoot up whatever target a criminal or terrorist element wants? According to multiple sources, it was often a $1,000-per-shooting assignment.

Alleged contraband tobacco plant busted on Six Nations; $10 million in contraband seized
Ontario Provincial Police have busted a criminal network allegedly producing and manufacturing contraband tobacco on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, seizing more than 40,000 kg of contraband tobacco and 300 kg of shisha tobacco with a street value of more than $10 million. Also seized were a handgun and manufacturing equipment following an investigation that began in April called Project TRACK to help the Six Nations Police Service after a separate incident led to a broader criminal probe.
