5 The Hidden Sand Village Let Fear Shape Too Many Decisions

The Hidden Sand Village faced problems with scarce resources and made decisions driven by their fears. This is best seen in how Gaara was treated as a child.

Instead of supporting him with his power struggles against Shukaku, villagers saw Gaara as an enemy. The villagers’ fear led to isolation and turned Gaara into the monster he was perceived to be.
