TSN’s Darren Dreger reported late Tuesday that the defenceman, through agent J.P. Barry, has submitted a list of four teams for which he would waive his no-trade clause.

Rielly’s future with the Leafs has been in doubt after declining offensive numbers. Most recently, the Maple Leafs have acquired two other defencemen: Darren Raddysh, in a sign-and-trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and puck-moving Emil Andrae, in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers.
While still an offensive threat — Rielly had 36 points last season to give him 549 in his Maple Leafs career since being picked in the first round of 2012 — he has looked slower and vulnerable in his own end.
He was a minus-16 in 2025-26, his worst in almost a decade, and was ineffective on the power play, where was often was replaced as quarterback.
On his current contract, Rielly has a $7.5 million cap hit through 2029-30.
Dreger’s report said Rielly has listed four teams, all in the Western Conference, in line with his British Columbia roots.
Other teams could be added to the list depending on Toronto general manager John Chayka’s progress in talks with the initial list.
