It’s similar to the developer’s previous games in its pixelated art style and retro charm. However, Mina the Hollower is much bigger, with a fully open-world design inspired by Game Boy Color Zelda games and a top-down perspective that lets you move in any direction.
Exploration is a major aspect of Yacht Club’s latest title, with optional areas to navigate and side activities to follow, and a completionist run will take you more than 30 hours, depending on your skill level and familiarity with the mechanics. It’s a hostile world, and more often than not, you’ll be roped into challenging combat encounters and boss fights.

Speaking of challenge, Mina the Hollower features a collection of Modifiers that you can use to make the game easier, harder, or even weirder. Additionally, you can unlock New Game+, which offers seven cycles that grow progressively tougher with the addition of more challenging Modifiers.
