The pop star took to her Instagram Stories to share the news, just two months before it was set to kick off and perhaps, more telling, three months after the birth of her daughter, Mikey Moon.

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for reach and all of them at this time.”
Trainor, 32, and husband Daryl Sabara, 33, welcomed their daughter in January via surrogate. They also share sons Riley, 5, and Barry, 3.
The tour was set to kick off on June 12 in Clarkston, Mich., before wrapping two months later at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, Trainor’s only Canadian stop, would have been her third show, scheduled for June 16.

“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down. But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now,” the “Still Don’t Care” singer continued in her post.

“I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this near record,” Trainor added. “I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”
Pop duo Icona Pop, who were scheduled to open for Trainor at her “Get In Girl” shows, expressed their “love and blessings” to Trainor in the wake of her announcement, adding in their own Instagram Stories that they are “working on a new plan to come and dance with you ASAP.”
The surprise cancellation comes a week ahead of her seventh studio album “Toy With Me,” which is set to be released on April 24.
Trainor released the album’s official setlist hours before she cancelled the tour.

The “Made You Look” singer previously told Us Weekly that some of her new songs were inspired by her daughter.
“It’s so scary right now, and I don’t feel good about being here as a girl — how am I going to bring a girl here?” Trainor said.
“I wrote these songs for my baby girl, for when she’s in middle school, or when she goes through her first breakup, and yeah, when she needs to shimmer and feel confident.”
