Marvel Rivals July 30 Patch Notes: New PvE Mode, Spider-Man Day, Free Units & More

Today’s Marvel Rivals update isn’t the long-awaited Season 9.5 patch, but it still delivers plenty of new content before the season enters its second half. Version 20260730 continues the Path to Doomsday lineup, adds several MCU-inspired cosmetics, and kicks off a handful of limited-time celebrations across the game.

The update arrives at 9:00 UTC (2 AM PDT / 5 AM EDT) with no scheduled server downtime, so you can hop in as soon as the patch is installed. From a brand-new Avengers: Age of Ultron PvE game mode and Spider-Man Day festivities to free rewards in Times Square and kicking off the IGNITE Mid-Season Finals, here’s everything coming in the latest Marvel Rivals update.

Everything New Coming With the July 30 Marvel Rivals Patch

Version 20260730 revolves around five main additions: a new chapter in the ongoing Path to Doomsday PvE series, themed content inspired by Avengers: Age of Ultron and Spider-Man Day, four new MCU-inspired bundles, expanded IGNITE esports support, and a round of hero-specific bug fixes.

New PvE Mode Continues the Path to Doomsday Lineup

NetEase is expanding its Path to Doomsday lineup with another limited-time PvE experience, this time inspired by Avengers: Age of Ultron. Players will fight through an Ultron invasion of Avengers Tower as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes attempt to stop the rogue AI from overrunning their headquarters.

This follows the previous The Avengers-themed chapter that concluded earlier in the game’s roadmap, with NetEase already confirming Age of Ultron would be the next stop in the PvE series. The mode is available on all supported platforms except PlayStation 4.

Spider-Man Day Brings New Bundles and a Dedicated Storefront

August 1 marks Spider-Man Day, an annual celebration observed by fans to commemorate Peter Parker’s debut in Amazing Fantasy #15, and Marvel Rivals is joining the occasion with a dedicated in-game storefront featuring a wide selection of existing and returning costumes for Spider-Man.

Alongside the themed store tab, four new movie-inspired bundles go on sale beginning July 31:

Avengers: Age of Ultron Takes Over Times Square (Free 100 Units!)

NetEase is also turning Times Square into a celebration of Avengers: Age of Ultron. The limited-time event includes two interactive activities: one rewarding players simply for sticking around, and the other handing out free premium currency.

Players can take part in:

• Watch the Avengers: Age of Ultron highlights screening for two continuous minutes to unlock an exclusive Spray.
• Visit the movie-themed photo walls outside the Avengers’ Gift Shop.
• Take a group photo with the NPCs to instantly receive 100 Units.

The event runs from July 30 to August 27 at 9:00 UTC.

IGNITE Mid-Season Finals Come to the In-Game Esports Hub (Another Free 100 Units!)

With the 2026 IGNITE Mid-Season Finals now underway in Los Angeles, NetEase is making it easier for players to keep up with the tournament from inside Marvel Rivals. The newly revamped in-game Esports page is turning into a central hub for the competition, letting players check the schedule and opt in for reminders before matches begin.

The Esports tab now lets you:

• View the full IGNITE Mid-Season Finals schedule.
• Subscribe to match reminders.
• Watch matches in-game or through official livestreams.
• Earn exclusive Drops during the tournament.

Every Optimization and Bug Fix in Marvel Rivals Version 20260730

Rounding out the update are a handful of bug fixes for Thor, Peni Parker, Cloak & Dagger, Jubilee, and Hela, addressing issues tied to Team-Ups, tracking, and hero abilities.

Heroes

• Thor: Fixed a bug where if Thor triggered the Ragnarok Rebirth team-up revival effect while casting his Ultimate, he could be unexpectedly healed by teammates, and caused abnormal defeat judgments.
• Peni Parker: Addressed an issue where, when Peni Parker utilized the Rocket Network team-up, it could cause her teammate Rocket Raccoon’s B.R.B. revive data to track incorrectly.
• Cloak & Dagger: Resolved a hiccup where Cloak & Dagger selecting the Oblivion Shroud team-up could result in incorrect assist data tracking.
• Jubilee: Fixed an issue where, at certain specific angles, Jubilee was unable to use Dazzling Detonation to detonate her energy orbs.

Other

• Fixed a match bug that could prevent Hela from using emojis and emotes after casting her abilities.
