Marvel Rivals July 23 Patch Notes: New Map, Blood Hunt Content, Skins & More

Today’s Marvel Rivals update isn’t one of those massive balance patches that turns the seasonal meta upside down. Instead, Version 20260723 focuses on expanding what Season 9 already brought to the table, adding a brand-new map, meaningful content for PvE players, and a handful of welcome quality-of-life changes.

The update goes live at 2:00 AM PDT / 5:00 AM EDT (9:00 UTC) with no server downtime, so you’ll be able to jump straight in once you’ve downloaded the patch itself. And with that out of the way, here’s everything you need to know from the latest Marvel Rivals patch notes, from Thebes and new Blood Hunt improvements to fresh cosmetics and more.

Everything New Coming With the July 23 Marvel Rivals Patch

While this isn’t a hero balance patch, there’s still plenty to unpack. The latest update introduces a long-awaited new map, gives the PvE experience some substantial progression upgrades, expands in-game esports features, and adds another wave of premium cosmetics alongside fresh Twitch Drops.

New Convoy Map: Thebes

NetEase first teased Thebes in the Season 9 roadmap before giving players a dedicated reveal trailer earlier this week. Now, the ancient Egyptian-themed battleground officially joins the game as a brand-new Convoy map.

Two monuments of power, divided by a sea of sand and stolen devotion. Apocalypse’s Pyramid and the Temple of Khonshu dominate opposite ends of the map. A rapidly weakening Khonshu desperately seeks to take back his stolen faith, but Moon Knight arrives burdened with a dark suspicion, demanding Khonshu answer a question before the Faith-Harvesting Engine.

In this arena where ancient Egyptian ruins collide with primordial Celestial tech across dunes and oases, true villainy is about to be dragged into the moonlight.

From what we’ve seen so far, Thebes leans heavily into its Egyptian setting with sprawling sandstone architecture, towering monuments, sweeping dunes, and Celestial technology woven throughout the environment. If you’ve spent enough time in Overwatch, the overall atmosphere may even remind you of Temple of Anubis, though Thebes follows an entirely different objective and layout thanks to its Convoy design.

The Esports Tab Gets Another Upgrade

The Esports tab in the in-game main menu is becoming even more useful with this update. Instead of having to rely on external sites to follow tournaments, you’ll now be able to subscribe to your favorite teams, players, and events directly from inside the game while also keeping track of schedules and standings.

• Subscription Feature: Subscribe to your favorite tournaments, teams, and pro players.
• Calendar View: Track match schedules, league standings, active brackets, and historical match records.
• Match Notifications: Receive alerts the moment subscribed matches go live.

Blood Hunt Receives Its Biggest Progression Update Yet

This update brings some of the most requested progression improvements to the ongoing PvE event, Blood Hunt. Gear can now be upgraded and refined so you don’t have to rely entirely on lucky drops, while a new EXP item makes leveling your other heroes much less of a grind. On top of that, Nightmare difficulty climbs even higher, with additional rewards waiting for players who reach the new milestones.

• Gear Enhancement: Enhance existing gear to unlock even higher stat bonuses.
• Gear Refining: Reroll specific gear stats to better fit the build you are running.
• New Rare Drop – Dew of Insight: Grants an instant burst of EXP to any hero of your choice.
• Nightmare Difficulty Expanded: Floor cap increased to 300. Clearing Floor 260 rewards 100 Units per hero (up to 600 Units for clearing the difficulty once with every playable hero).

Event Duration Adjustments:

• Blood Hunt Double XP extended until October 5, 2026, 09:00 UTC (2:00 AM PDT / 5:00 AM EDT)
• Blood Hunt mode extended until October 9, 2026, 09:00 UTC (2:00 AM PDT / 5:00 AM EDT).

New Store Bundles

Two new Egyptian-themed Legendary bundles are arriving in the in-game store, giving Hela and Psylocke fresh cosmetics that tie into Season 9’s ongoing setting:

• Psylocke – Pinned Butterfly Bundle (includes a free customization option to remove the chin decoration)
• Hela – Consort of Khonshu Bundle
• Hela – Consort of Khonshu Chroma: Midnight Moon / Sapphire Shadow
• Hela – Consort of Khonshu Ultimate Ability VFX

Twitch Drops

The upcoming Mid-Season Finals also bring a fresh Twitch Drops campaign. Simply watching eligible broadcasts during the event period will unlock cosmetics for Daredevil along with several other exclusive rewards.

Every Optimization and Bug Fix in the July 23 Marvel Rivals Update

Beyond the new content, this update also delivers a handful of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. While none of them are particularly game-changing on their own, together they address several long-standing annoyances reported by the community, including a new Team-Up VFX toggle that gives players more control over on-screen visual clutter.

Heroes

The devs have ironed out a couple of hero-specific issues, fixing both spectator UI problems and a display bug affecting Frank Castle:

• Fixed an issue where spectating certain heroes after being KO’d, then having that hero defeated, could cause UI anomalies upon revival.
• Fixed a bug where the ammo count in the bottom-left corner would not display correctly while The Punisher was using his Culling Turret.

Team-Up VFX Toggle

One of the most welcome quality-of-life additions in this patch comes directly as a result of community feedback. Players can now choose whether Team-Up visual effects appear on their own screen, helping reduce visual clutter during hectic fights without affecting what teammates or enemies see:

• Added a new Team-Up Visual Effects setting.
• Can be enabled or disabled globally for all heroes.
• Can also be customized individually for each hero.
• Only affects your own client; teammates and opponents will continue seeing the effects normally.

Other

The remaining fixes focus on cosmetic consistency, ensuring several heroes are once again equipped with the correct weapons across their alternate costumes:

• Fixed an issue where Angela, Daredevil, and Gambit had incorrect weapon assets equipped on some costumes.
