An early morning stabbing on Baseline Rd. has left a man in critical condition.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service was called at 5:54 a.m. on Friday about the incident on Baseline Rd. between Navaho Dr. and Woodroffe Ave.

Paramedics said one adult male was stabbed and he was taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.

According to the Ottawa Police, officers have located “all involved parties” and there is no threat to public safety.

“Please expect a significant police presence in the area for the next couple of hours,” said a tweet posted by the Ottawa Police Operations at 6:16 a.m, indicating that an active police operation was underway. “No road closures.”
