That’s according to Liaison Strategy’s weekly federal tracker polls, which have the Liberals widening their lead over the Pierre Poilievre Conservatives to 12 percentage points — two more than last week.

“The Liberals are posting another double-digit lead this week, rebounding from past dips in support,” said Liaison Principal David Valentin.
“Conversely, Pierre Poilievre’s numbers have remained largely stagnant; his favorability is essentially unchanged from a year ago, while his unfavourable ratings have trended upwards, effectively creating a ceiling for the Conservative vote.”
Liberal support sees three per cent jump
Among decided and leaning voters, 45% percent of those polled would vote Liberal, compared to 33% for the Conservatives — the same numbers the Tories saw in last week’s poll, but up from the lows experienced earlier this year.
That’s a 3% increase this week for the Liberals.
Outside of the 50% support the Liberals are enjoying in Ontario this week, support for the Liberals was highest in both Atlantic Canada and Manitoba/Saskatchewan, where they both garnered 46% support of those polled.

Interestingly, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are also the highest sources of support for the Tories — who tied with the Liberals at 46%, and came one point higher than Alberta’s 45%.
The federal NDP seem to be enjoying no upward momentum after selecting Avi Lewis as their new leader, as their vote share remains at just 10%, just ahead of the Bloc Québécois at 6%.
The Green Party sit at 3%, while the People’s Party of Canada maintain their steady hold on last place at just 2% of the vote.

PM sees increase in approval ratings, Poilievre remains unchanged from last year
After a slight dip, approval ratings for Carney reached 62% this week, up from the PM’s low-water mark of 55% seen in January.
The PM’s disapproval rating holds steady this week at 29%, with 9% reporting “not sure.”
After a few bumps this year bringing him close to cracking 40%, approval ratings for Poilievre sat att 36% this week — just one up from where it sat a year ago.
The poll was conducted among 1,000 Canadians between April 6 and April 18, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%, 19 times out of 20.
