When will the “Liberal” Party and Air Canada stop being “woke” about the people at Air Canada not speaking French and spend more time seeing if their pilots have certificates to fly their planes! I would never fly Air Canada again.

TECH CRUNCH

I am a senior, 88, and fortunate to be able to travel and do business. I have just booked a cruise on the Queen Mary, no problem, and while trying to further book drink packages and wi-fi, after filling out and attempting to pay, they insist on sending me a text. Like hundreds of thousands of people, not just seniors, I don’t use a cellphone — in my case, neuropathy in my fingers is a problem. I have an email and a telephone (remember those). Sadly, they offer no alternative to text so I am at a disadvantage because I can’t pay for a purchase, which I’m sure Queen Mary would like to process! I constantly run into the assumption that everyone has a cellphone glued to their hand. Wrong! The other day I was attempting something online — which I couldn’t complete because they wanted me to photograph a QR squiggle. I was on my desktop, so I’m not sure that’s even possible, but again I had to opt out of a purchase. I think a lot of people are at a disadvantage dealing with the tech obsession being applied to everything. Next, the squirrels will require a text or QR code before accepting popcorn. Disappointed in businesses that don’t realize they are discriminating — because that is exactly what this is.

(You are in the minority these days where nearly everyone has a mobile so they are catering to that demand. But in your circumstance, it seems odd there was no “analog” way to connect for a purchase)
