SPEND AND FAIL
I’m left to wonder whether there is any relationship between all the recent government programs that give money to Canadians for food, housing, dentistry, etc., and a failing economy. Were the economy humming along with lower inflation, unemployment rates and rising gross domestic product, would this government largesse be necessary?

LEFT FIELD
I would like to address the lack of mental acuity of leftist governments across Canada. Yes, federal Liberals, you are included and near the top of the list, although my provincial government is the undisputed champion of lacking common sense. With regards to tax policy in all forms, these leftist governments believe the higher they raise boatloads of taxes, the more revenue they will fleece the ordinary citizen of. Au contraire, people just spend less to try to keep their hard-earned money. On the other hand, if these governments were to dramatically lower taxes for the ordinary Canadian, the populace would have more of their own money and begin to spend at record levels because they wouldn’t fear going to the poorhouse with every new tax governments dream up. Governments would probably increase their revenues and the economy would unleash its might through private enterprise. Remember, governments do not create wealth; they only stagnate it.
