Kompany hints at Gnabry return for Elversberg duel: "We'll make a call today"

Kompany hinted at the possible return of Serge Gnabry and discussed Sunday's meeting with SV Elversberg.

Ahead of their clash with SV Elversberg,Vincent Kompany revealed that Serge Gnabry may come back into the fold for Bayern Munich.

“Serge is training but we'll make a call today," the German record champions' head coach said during today's press conference.

"I reckon he'll be involved tomorrow or against Union [Berlin], but we still need to have conversations with Serge.

“He needs to give us the signal that he doesn't feel that something might happen when he shoots or turns,” Kompany explained.

Regarding their first-ever meeting with the newly promoted Saarland club, Kompany expects a difficult test. 

“We're taking every game seriously. I’m happy that we’re playing against Elversberg and that we get to compete against this team.

"Every season brings new challenges. I'm always happy to learn new things about an opponent, coach, and club.

"That’s something I love about football. There’s only one thing: no matter where we go, we always want to represent FC Bayern.

“It’s a new location for us, but we still want to show the same FC Bayern,” he concluded.
