That’s right! After delivering some of the most talked-about films in the series, including both hits and misses, this legendary director duo is taking the plunge into the world of video games! Fans are just hoping it’s better than Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Fans of Indiana Jones have undoubtedly wondered what it would be like to step into his shoes, and they’re going to find out pretty soon with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

While Indy’s impact on cinema is well-known, his influence on video games is even greater. The adventurous spirit of Indiana has inspired characters like Lara Croft and Uncharted’s Nathan Drake. Although there have been games featuring Indy, it’s been decades since people had a true interactive Indiana Jones. And thus, the good news is that the wait is over!

Set a year after Raiders of the Lost Ark, this game will be a first-person experience for the fans. The game follows Indiana Jones and his broken heart, after his breakup with Marion Ravenwood, get on an adventure.

When an artifact is stolen from the college where he teaches, Indy uncovers a connection to the world’s most spiritually significant sites. Racing against rival archaeologist Emmerich Voss, who plans to exploit these locations for the Third Reich, Indy embarks on a quest to uncover the mystery, just like he always does!

Previous Heartbreaks Leave Fans Wary of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle!

Indiana Jones fans have had one too many heartbreaks to count with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas’s joint ventures. The duo has been instrumental in creating, producing, and co-writing the iconic Indiana Jones films, including the legendary Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, and the much-debated Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Although these are two of the most brilliant minds, they too weren’t prone to misses, and how fantastically they missed the mark with Crystal Skull was truly magnificent to watch. The last couple of years also weren’t particularly smooth for the franchise either.

As a result, fans remain a bit skeptical. However, creative director Axel Torvenius shared exciting details about the upcoming game in an interview at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany(via The Guardian). He said,

I think what will surprise people is how authentic it feels, We are extremely happy with where we are at the moment. if you’re an Indiana Jones fan, this will be your fix!
