Andy Cohen chimed in, hinting Denise avoided the gossip to protect her family. She herself clarified she didn’t ditch the show but left to focus on her family and other gigs, like The Bold and the Beautiful and Glow and Darkness.
Kyle Richards didn’t hold back on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius XM show, saying Denise’s disappearing act was a major letdown. Kyle asserted, highlighting the contrast between her commitment and Denise’s drama. She revealed:
That was something I really took issue with because I’ve been on the show for 10 years. There have been so many things have come up that were really, really painful over these 10 years … When you think about the things that people went through on this show, like, I never knew it was an option not to show up!
Andy later revealed that contract issues were behind Denise’s exit, not some juicy scandal. Despite the chaos, Denise made a return as a guest in Season 13 to confront Erika Jayne.
