How to Unlock Ice King Vault in Fortnite?

Team Ice King has officially won Act I of Fortnite Showdown, with Team Foundation falling behind, albeit not by much. The last team milestone has been reached, which means Ice King’s Vault Key is now available to find. With it, players can finally unlock the Ice King Vault in Fortnite, so here’s how you can do so and everything you’ll find inside.

Here’s How to Unlock the Ice King Vault in Fortnite

As we mentioned earlier, to unlock the Ice King Vault in Fortnite, first, you’ll need to find the Ice King’s Vault Key, which is a Legendary Item found only around Frigid Fortress. But, be warned, it’s not a boss loot, so you won’t be able to get the Vault Key by simply defeating Ice King in Frigid Fortress.

The Ice King’s Vault Key spawns in the small buildings scattered around the outer parts of the Frigid Fortress POI in Fortnite. There are multiple potential spawn locations, so you’ll need to do a bit of scavenging on the outskirts of the POI and explore the ruins thoroughly. You’ll likely find it inside the second floor of a small tower located in the southwestern part of Frigid Fortress.

After you obtain the key, head to the ruins in the southernmost part of the Frigid Fortress POI, which is the location of the Ice King Vault. There’ll be a Rivalry Screen nearby. Once you’re there, crouch for the prompt to appear and swipe the Ice Castle Vault Entrance Keycard to open the Keycard Lock on the ground, giving you access to the Ice King Vault in Fortnite. Use the zip line to ride down into the Vault.

Inside, you’ll find a collection of Chests, Ammo boxes, and Slurp Barrels. Destroy and collect everything to be prepared for the remainder of the match. If you want to head back to the surface, interact with the Port-a-Potty inside the Ice King Vault. While there aren’t any Mythic Items inside, the Vault remains a lucrative spot for players to gear up adequately.

If you’re lucky, you might even find the Seven Power Gloves inside one of the Chests, although it’s not guaranteed, so we recommend searching the Ice King Vault thoroughly. That’s everything you need to know about unlocking the Ice King Vault in Fortnite.

Additionally, despite Team Foundation losing to Team Ice King in Fortnite Showdown’s first Act, players can still unlock the Seven Compound Vault by finding the Seven Compound Vault Key around New Sanctuary, similar to the Ice King’s Vault Keycard. So, at the end of the day, both sides win.
