Moss is an item that you’ll need to progress the Avian Alarm Project’s second stage in ARC Raiders, added with the recent Riven Tides update. This plant can also be consumed to regain health and used to create Defibrillators. However, its importance has skyrocketed with the introduction of the Avian Alarm Project, and now, every Raider is searching for it.
There are several reliable spots where you can farm Moss and collect more than 12 in a single run. With that said, here are the best Moss farming locations in ARC Raiders you should check out.
Best Spots to Farm Moss in ARC Raiders
Moss grows within this stretch! | Credits: Map Genie/Embark StudiosThe best location to farm Moss in ARC Raiders is the Dried Riverbed on the Riven Tides Map, specifically the line from the bottom part of the area towards the Port Authority Building in the north (between Saltswept Hatch and Seaside Elevator). You can find Moss very easily in this area, lying scattered on broken logs and dead tree barks across the riverbed.
This plant is also easy to identify, so head to this location and look for small green patches growing on logs, bark, and boulders on the sand. You can find more than one Moss on one log, so search the Dried Riverbed thoroughly, and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be able to net more than 12 Moss in one run, allowing you to progress the second stage of the Avian Alarm Project.
We recommend walking carefully through the Dried Riverbed, not only to spot Moss but also to stay alert for ARCs and hostile Raiders waiting to ambush unsuspecting players. After all, the location is in the open and completely exposed, so there’s not much cover or security.
An alternative spot to farm Moss in ARC Raiders would be the Hydroponic Dome Complex on the Dam Battlegrounds Map, which was the original location for collecting Moss before Riven Tides changed the game. Head inside the dome structures, and you’ll notice Moss growing at the bottom of the cylindrical units. However, since it’s the original spot, chances are that every piece of Moss will be looted by rival Raiders by the time you reach the Hydroponic Dome Complex.
The rocks and terrain around the East Plains on the Spaceport Map are another solid source of Moss, but we recommend searching the Dried Riverbed on the Riven Tides map to gather more than 12 Moss in one ARC Raiders run.

Apart from the locations mentioned above, there are various ways to farm Moss in ARC Raiders:
- Purchase Moss from Celeste: You can buy 5 Moss daily from Celeste in Speranza for 10 Assorted Seeds apiece. Pair that with the Moss that you find from the Riven Tides map, and you’ll be set for the Avian Alarm Project in ARC Raiders.
- Purchase Defibrillators from Lance: You can also purchase Defibrillators from Lance for 3,000 Coins apiece and recycle them to acquire Moss. If you have Coins, we highly recommend using them to convert Defibrillators into Moss to progress Avian Alarm Project Stage 2 in ARC Raiders.
- Lush Blooms Map Condition: The Lush Blooms Map Condition increases the number of Wicker Baskets and nature items that spawn on the map. Wicker Baskets sometimes contain Moss, and since nature loot is increased, you’ll be able to find Moss more often in ARC Raiders.
Combine these methods with the locations mentioned above to collect and farm Moss efficiently. Always check your surroundings while trying to farm Moss during your runs. You don’t want to be surprised by ARC Turbines hovering above Moss farming locations.
