Things can get quite intense while playing Helldivers 2, but undoubtedly the most annoying thing about the game are griefers who ruin the gaming experience for everyone else. The game promotes teamwork but some players just don’t understand it, so this one Helldivers 2 player had to teach a random toxic player a lesson.
The level this Helldivers 2 player went to is insane as they tracked the griefer down several times, with different usernames each time, and destroyed all their hard work. This might sound petty to some players but this will make sure that the griefer thinks twice before ruining the game for others in the future.
Helldivers 2 Tracked Down A Griefer To Take Revenge
In a viral post on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit, a player shared their experience of hunting down a griefer who teamkilled his squad after completing a mission. Many players would often ignore and start another game when they encounter a griefer in Helldivers 2. However, this player devised a crazy plan to ruin this griefer’s game.
Griefer killed me and entire team at extraction so I got revenge.byu/ReleasePale7485 inhelldivers2
At first, the griefer was able to identify the player because of the username and made the mistake of saying “womp womp” before kicking the player. Then, this player decided to change usernames, gear, titles, and weaponry, then tracked down the griefer again. Each time, this player played the game normally but as soon as they reached the ship, they specifically killed the griefer and wrote, “womp womp XD” in the chat.
By blocking and unblocking, this player was able to find the griefer on the recent players page, allowing them to join the griefer’s games. So far, this player has killed the griefer around 12 times.
Some Toxic Helldivers 2 Players Have Created A Game Mode Called Last Man Standing
The concept of teamkilling right before ending a mission has fascinated toxic players for quite some time now. Some players created an unofficial game mode called “Last Man Standing,” where players call for extraction but then every squad member attempts to kill their teammates, and the last person alive gets to extract.
The community strongly opposed this idea as toxic players were ruining the game for everyone. Helldivers 2 will never be a PvP game as it always promotes teamwork. The game is making a strong comeback, but Arrowhead Game Studios needs to do something about the toxicity in the game.
This player went too far to take down the griefer but this griefer will now live in constant fear that any random player in their game could be their hunter. It’s safe to say that this griefer will think twice before teamkilling anyone next time.
