John Krasinski was awarded with PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive title this year and honestly, it’s absolutely worth it. Right from the time we saw him breaking the fourth wall and staring at us in The Office, the actor has captivated our hearts like no other. Clearly, his admirers are not limited and even actors can’t help but admire the man’s undeniable beauty. This includes his former co-star, Kate Flannery.

The actress recently commented on John Krasinski’s win and announced that the title was long overdue. She believes that he should have won as early as 2005. But hey, at least we got there. Sure, it took us almost 20 years, but we got there.

In a conversation with TMZ, his former co-star stated that the actor has gotten “robbed” since 2005 and that she’s happy that the trophy finally came home. In her words, “This is so long overdue. John Krasinski’s gotten robbed every year since 2005, in my opinion. It’s so time.”
A bewildered Flannery, echoing the voice of many fangirls, asked if the world had even seen the man. She brought up his series Jack Ryan as she wondered how PEOPLE benched him all these years. Flannery even had a few good words for John Krasinski’s wife, the gorgeous Emily Blunt.
Have you seen him lately? Have you seen him since Jack Ryan? He is so jacked up. He is so hot my eyes are melting every time I see him in person. He and Emily [Blunt] are so good-looking I have to squint. He is really, really hot. Is nobody paying attention? I’m so glad people are finally paying attention.
So are we, Flannery, so are we. She might be right about the fact that Krasinski’s win was long overdue. While this doesn’t mean that the previous winners didn’t deserve the spot, we are a bit surprised that it took PEOPLE so long to get to the A Quiet Place actor.
Kate Flannery Has a Lot of Love for John Krasinski Since The Office
Flannery and Krasinski climbed the ladder of fame together, starting off with The Office. Neither of the two actors had done anything of note before the sitcom but the growth they have seen, especially Krasinski, has been exponential.
Speaking about Krasinski’s appealing looks, she stated that his “sexiness” often gets overlooked thanks to his cuteness. She believes that he is the perfect blend of cute and hot and we couldn’t agree more.
I’m not drunk, I’m telling you for real: John has always been adorable and really cute, but I feel like people haven’t seen his sexiness since he’s so cute. So, it’s the perfect marriage of two things: cute and hot and sexy and funny and smart and, I mean, he’s much more than Jim.
She’s right, though. While Jim gives off ‘boy next door’ vibes, Krasinski’s looks hint at a duality – he could coerce you into committing a crime for him and you’d thank him on your way to jail.
Flannery isn’t much different from her character, Meredith, when it comes to Krasinski (Jim). In the earlier seasons of The Office, Meredith definitely had a thing for Dunder Mifflin’s hottest salesman.

So, it’s really no surprise that Flannery is mad about Krasinski being added to the Sexiest Man Alive Hall of Fame so late.
