One clip shared on X shows the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star shaking hands and bumping shoulders with Andrew Tate.
Three days after the event, the “Mayor of Flavortown” appeared to want to make clear that he didn’t know that the man he was looking chummy with was a self-described misogynist.

“I’m seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday’s UFC event and all I can say is that I’m devastated,” Fieri said in an X post on Tuesday.
“I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that’s when the exchange happened,” he explained. “I did not know them or about them before that moment.”
Fieri added: “I’ll never pretend to be a perfect person but let me be crystal clear, I do not know the Tate brothers nor do I support them in any way.”

Does he or doesn’t he?
Not so fast, Joe McBride, the Tate brothers’ lawyer, told TMZ.
According to McBride, Fieri “knew exactly” who the Tate bros are and “was all too happy to catch up with them — until the woke mob came after him,” the publication reported.
McBride said Fieri was “pressured into his pathetic capitulation” by the same people who “spent years manufacturing a case against two innocent men.”
He added: “They are not interested in justice. They are interested in control. And Guy Fieri just showed them it works.”
The charges against the Tates
The Tate brothers are under criminal investigation in multiple countries, including the U.K. where they are facing criminal charges of rape and trafficking.
A court in Romania lifted “all preventative judicial control measures against” the brothers “pending a criminal investigation on accusations of human trafficking, among others,” Reuters reported.
The former kickboxers have denied all wrongdoing in the criminal charges.
McBride pointed out: “Andrew and Tristan Tate have not been convicted of anything. They remain innocent under every legal standard. The campaign against them is not a legal proceeding. It is a social one.”
