Despite Goku generally stealing the spotlight in the anime, our beloved protagonist isn’t considered the strongest, with Gohan Beast’s transformation surpassing both Kakarot and Vegeta. Although Gohan is often regarded as the strongest Saiyan, even Toriyama had to limit his character to prevent him from surpassing others. Back in the Room of Spirit and Time, Goku noticed Gohan’s hidden potential and trusted him to take down Super Cell, a moment that still stands as iconic among the fandom. Despite his vast potential as the strongest warrior, Gohan is showcased as a peaceful person throughout his life, who only resorts to fighting once his loved ones are in danger or threatened.

Sadly, Gohan didn’t have any spotlight in the Dragon Ball Super; however, the fandom was taken back by Gohan’s new Beast transformation that made him stand equal to Goku’s UI and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego. Not to forget, DBS Chapter 103 solidifies that Gohan Beast is the series’ strongest hero, but this doesn’t mean that Gohan’s superiority is permanent.

Although Gohan may have once again climbed the ladder to become the strongest, he will never be able to carry forward his father’s legacy. Unlike Goku, who thrives to become the strongest warrior, Gohan is shown least interested in combat or taking martial arts seriously.

Gohan would never be able to master divine transformations like Ultra Instinct or Ultra Ego without undergoing immense training. He would need to regain the drive and determination for power he had as a teenager in order to achieve such mastery.

In conclusion, Beast mode is Gohan’s most powerful transformation; however, he won’t advance to the next stage unless the threat to a loved one pushes him into an intense state of anger or rage.

Dragon Ball Theory: Uncovering Gohan’s True Potential That Surpasses Goku and Vegeta

After the end of the Cell Saga, Gohan was significantly stronger than any other character, surpassing even the likes of Goku and Vegeta. Although some fans believe the secret behind Gohan’s immense strength is his Saiyan heritage, a recent theory confirms it’s actually Chi-Chi’s fiery genes at play. 

The theory states that thanks to Chi-Chi’s special heavy-temper genes, Gohan witnessed several rage moments resulting in powerful transformations such as the Gohan Beast. This theory also explains the difference in strength between Gohan and other Hybrid Saiyans, such as Trunks and Goten.
