The wait is finally coming to an end, gamers, as Ghost of Yotei is right around the corner. That’s right, we’ll finally be heading to the start of Japan’s Edo period when the game launches on October 2, 2025. Considering developer Sucker Punch’s past success, this title is destined to be a smash hit.
So, if you’re excited like us, let’s take a look at the global launch times for Ghost of Yotei across different regions.
Ghost of Yotei Launch Times by Region
As stated before, Ghost of Yotei is all set to release on October 2, 2025, at midnight, depending on your local time zone. However, if you happen to live in the United States, in certain regions, you’ll be able to jump into the game even earlier.
Here’s a complete breakdown of the launch times in major regions –

Ghost of Yotei Download Size

Well, if you’re eager to jump into Ghost of Yotei, it might be a good idea to free up some space on your PlayStation 5 as the game will require up to 85.1 GB of storage. Don’t think of that as huge, because this is an AAA title, and that too in 2025. It’s far from the massive 150 GB sizes of some of the recent Call of Duty games. You can expect to see some massive improvements compared to Ghost of Tsushima with this file size.
There are three editions available for you to pre-order right now: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s. The Standard Edition ($70) comes with a mask and avatars. The Digital Deluxe Edition ($80) adds extra items like a horse, saddle, charm, Traveler’s Map, Armor Dyne, Snake Armor, and more. If that’s not enough, the Collector’s Edition ($250) goes one step further and has collectibles like Astru’s Ghost Mask replica, sash, and many other things.
Our recommendation? Go with the standard edition. You’ll be saving a lot of money that can be used to purchase other games that can keep you hooked for hundreds of hours. However, if you’re a true gamer, that Collector’s Edition looks like a spicy pick since you’re getting some real-life goodies.
Unfortunately, pre-ordering the game won’t give you early access, which is kind of strange. However, you can preload the game right now and play it as soon as it launches at midnight in your region. Plus, there’s a free Ghost of Yotei DLC that’s all set to arrive later in 2026.
