Confidence Queen Episode 9: Release Date & What to Expect

Confidence Queen Episode 9 is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:30 PM KST on TV Chosun in South Korea. Internationally, viewers can expect the episode to become available on Prime Video shortly after the domestic airing.

As the series nears its conclusion, Episode 9 promises to heighten tension, bring revelations tied to Yi-rang’s past, and push the con artists toward harder choices. 

Confidence Queen Episode 9: What to Expect

In the last episode, we saw how and why Yi-rang decided to stage cons and how she convinced James to join. At the end of the episode, while celebrating their win against Gil Beauty, James tells Yi-rang to come clean to Gu-ho.

While we do not know yet what Gu-ho does not know and what Yi-rang is about to tell him, we do know it will likely be about his past and kidnapping. But whatever revelation it is, it might likely affect their relationship or even push Gu-ho away since he has been kept in the dark for too long.

Moreover, Yi-rang has already told James about the painting she saw at the mansion where she was held. The same painting she saw in the records of Mr. Famous, which means they now have a link to find her mysterious abductors. 

We also expect the cons to become riskier with less room for error. In the next episode preview, we see them going against a corrupt seafood titan, Ha Jung-ho, whose deep love for cinema is used as a means to entice and eventually fool him.

In the preview for the next episodes, we do know that the trio will entice Ha Jung-ho through his love for cinema. By setting up a fake cafe and hiring a few actors for a fake film shoot, they will force him to invest a large sum into their film.

While James will pretend to be a director and Gu-ho his faithful assistant, Yi-rang will pretend to be a budding actress. 

As for Yi-rang’s past, we can expect her to confront or likely come across a figure from her past. Since Gu-ho will likely be learning about his past or his connection with Yi-rang’s bigger scene, his loyalty may be tested. From what we have seen in the previous episodes, he does not like to be kept aloof from the trio’s schemes. But since Yi-rang and James seem to be hiding a lot from him, things may backfire.
