Lauma has quickly become one of the most important Dendro characters in Genshin Impact, especially in the meta HoYoverse introduced after Version 6.0. As the main Dendro character for the new Bloom reaction, she is the backbone for all Lunar Bloom teams. But to do that, you’ll need to know about her abilities and her best build.

She converts standard Bloom into Lunar-Bloom, which comes with new buffs and Hydro and Dendro RES shred. So all in all, if you’re trying to invest in a Lunar Bloom team with characters like Nefer, then Lauma takes these teams to a new level. And with her upcoming rerun banner in Version 6.5, her demand will be high.
In this guide, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the best Lauma build: her best weapons, artifacts, stats, teams, and how her kit works.
Lauma Abilities and Build Overview in Genshin Impact
The best Lauma build is very simple. | Image Credit: HoYoverseLauma’s value comes from how many things she does at once. She applies Dendro off-field with her Skill, supports Bloom teams with reaction bonuses, and shreds Hydro and Dendro RES to increase the damage of her team’s reactions.
On top of that, her own damage is respectable, but the main highlight is that she turns Bloom teams into stronger versions of themselves. To understand her abilities and build, I have to explain Lunar-Bloom and Verdant Dew to you first.

"Under our Moonchanter's most benevolent watch, no innocents or animals shall come to harm… *sigh* Or so I would like to say, but should the law of the jungle falls away, some sharp-fanged beasts will surely be starved the taste of flesh."
— Nefer
When Hydro and Dendro react with Lauma on the team, the Bloom reaction is replaced by Lunar-Bloom, which still creates Dendro Cores but also generates Verdant Dew stacks for Lauma. She can then consume those stacks with her Hold Skill to deal her own Lunar-Bloom damage.
One of the biggest pros for Lauma is how easy she is to build. She has several strong 4-star weapon options, many of which are free or easy to obtain. She also has a simple artifact set priorities, and doesn’t need crazy stats. And to top it off, she has strong synergy with a wide range of Hydro and Dendro characters.
Lauma Talent Level Priority in Genshin Impact 6.5
Lauma doesn’t need a ton of levels on her talents. | Image Credit: HoYoverseMost of Lauma’s role within a Lunar reaction team is heavily tied to her Skill and Burst. This means that her talent priorities are pretty simple:
- Elemental Skill (Highest Priority)
- Elemental Burst
- Normal Attack (Lowest Priority)
Her Elemental Skill is the core of her gameplay. It gives:
- Persistent Dendro application
- Resistance shred
- The ability to convert Verdant Dew into Lunar-Bloom damage
Her Elemental Burst, on the other hand, gives buffs through a stacking system that buffs reaction damage across the team.
Her Normal Attacks are generally not important unless you’re using her as an on-field driver, which, let’s be honest, you aren’t.
Should You Level Her to 90?
Yes, but eventually. Since reaction damage scales with level, leveling Lauma to Level 90 buffs both her Bloom and Lunar-Bloom damage. However, this isn’t mandatory early on and can be done after her talents and artifacts are in a good place.
Best Artifacts for Lauma in Genshin Impact 6.5
You can farm her set alongside her DPS character. | Image Credit: HoYoverseLauma’s best artifact choices depend on whether you want maximum team support, better personal damage, or a balance of both. The best artifact set for Lauma is 4pc Silken Moon’s Serenade.
This is her most natural support set because it gives her Energy Recharge and gives the team Elemental Mastery and Lunar Reaction damage.
It is especially strong when the team is in Ascendant Gleam, where the set’s EM buff becomes even better. For Lauma, this is the cleanest “do everything well” option. If no one else is holding it, 4pc Deepwood Memories is still incredibly valuable.
Since most of Lauma’s teams include Dendro damage, the 30% Dendro RES shred is often too good to pass up. This is especially true if the rest of the team does not already have a Deepwood holder. For a more damage-oriented build, 4pc Gilded Dreams is a decent alternative. It provides a large amount of Elemental Mastery and helps Lauma scale both her reaction damage and her Burst buffs.
Artifact Main Stats
Lauma usually wants:
Sands: Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge
Goblet: Elemental Mastery
Circlet: Elemental Mastery, or CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG in damage-focused builds
Her stat priority is generally ER until requirement, then EM, then CRIT. If she is being used as a pure Bloom support, you can safely stack Elemental Mastery as much as possible.
Best Weapons for Lauma in Genshin Impact 6.5
There are a lot of weapons to pick from. | Image Credit: HoYoverseLauma’s best-in-slot weapon is obviously her signature, Nightweaver’s Looking Glass. It is the perfect fit for her because it gives a huge amount of Elemental Mastery and directly supports her team’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom damage.
It also lines up naturally with her Skill usage and reaction uptime. While it isn’t necessary, this is the weapon was basically made with her entire kit in mind. So if you are planning to invest a lot in Lauma, then it might be worth it.
For players who do not have her signature, Etherlight Spindlelute is one of the best free-to-play-friendly choices. It gives Energy Recharge and a strong EM boost, which solves two of Lauma’s biggest needs at once. Since Lauma values Burst uptime and raw EM very highly, this weapon is a very efficient option.
Other excellent 5-star options include A Thousand Floating Dreams, Sunny Morning Sleep-In, and Starcaller’s Watch. These are all strong EM-oriented catalysts that can help Lauma reach her stat thresholds while improving either her personal damage or overall team value.
For budget or craftable choices, Blackmarrow Lantern is a very good pick. It gives a decent amount of EM, and the passive isn’t bad for Bloom and Lunar-Bloom damage. In many cases, this will be the most accessible option for players who are not using Etherlight Spindlelute.
Of course, there are also the general choices like Favonius Codex and Prototype Amber that can also work. Favonius Codex is useful when your team has high Energy needs, while Prototype Amber adds comfort and a bit of pseudo-healing.
Best Teams for Lauma in Genshin Impact 6.5
She is the backbone of Lunar Bloom reaction teams. | Image Credit: HoYoverseLauma’s strongest teams are reaction teams. Her entire kit encourages Bloom-related archetypes, and she gets the most value when the team can consistently trigger Dendro/Hydro reactions. Her best compositions usually fall into three categories: Bloom, Hyperbloom / Quickbloom, and Burgeon.
Bloom Teams
Bloom is where Lauma feels most natural. In these teams, her job is to amplify Dendro Core generation and make the resulting reactions hit harder. A classic example is:
Lauma + Nilou + Hydro + Dendro
Nilou is one of Lauma’s strongest partners because she enhances regular Dendro Cores into more dangerous Bountiful Cores. While Nilou’s bonuses do not directly affect Lauma’s Lunar-Bloom damage, the overall team synergy is excellent.
Add a healer such as Kokomi, and a second Dendro character such as Nahida or Dendro Traveler, and you have a very stable and powerful Bloom team. Other strong Hydro options include Xingqiu, Yelan, Furina, Aino, Barbara, and Ayato.
Each of them brings different strengths, from raw Hydro application to healing or team damage buffs. On the Dendro side, Nahida is the premium choice because of her application and EM support, but Baizhu, Yaoyao, Kirara, Collei, and Dendro Traveler all have real use depending on the team’s needs.
Hyperbloom and Quickbloom Teams
Lauma also fits well into Hyperbloom teams. Her RES shred helps both the Hydro and Dendro damage in these teams. This is especially strong in single-target and small-group content. The classic trigger choices are Kuki Shinobu and Raiden Shogun, both of whom can maximize reaction damage through full Elemental Mastery builds.
Ineffa is another important character in these teams because she fits well as Lauma’s Moonsign partner and can help push the team toward Lunar Bloom reaction. For Hydro, Xingqiu, Yelan, Furina, Neuvillette, and Ayato are all strong, depending on whether you need off-field application or on-field drivers.
Burgeon Teams
Lauma also works in Burgeon teams, but it’s not that great. Burgeon wants reliable Bloom generation and a Pyro trigger that can detonate the cores without breaking the team’s consistency. Thoma, Dehya, Xiangling, and even Pyro Traveler can all function here, depending on what the rest of the lineup looks like.
A sample Burgeon team might look like:
Lauma + Hydro + Dendro + Thoma
The key advantage of Lauma in Burgeon is that her Dendro application is consistent and her reaction buffs help the whole setup hit harder. These teams are especially good in multi-target content where Burgeon explosions can hit many enemies at once.
Example Team Ideas
A few of Lauma’s strongest team shells include:
Lauma / Nilou / Kokomi / Nahida
A very stable Bloom team with excellent Hydro and Dendro coverage.
Lauma / Nilou / Xingqiu / Baizhu
A flexible Bloom team with defensive utility and good core generation.
Lauma / Raiden / Xingqiu / Yelan
A powerful Hyperbloom lineup with strong off-field damage.
Lauma / Shinobu / Furina / Alhaitham
A Quickbloom team that blends personal damage and reaction damage well.
The exact best team depends on whether you want more control, more healing, more personal DPS, or more raw reaction output. Lauma is flexible enough to fit all of these roles.
Lauma Constellations Breakdown
Lauma doesn’t need constellations to be good. | Image Credit: HoYoverseLauma is already very strong at C0, but this is Genshin Impact, so some constellations do stand out.
C1
Adds healing based on EM, improving survivability and team flexibility.
C2 (Best Constellation)
Massively boosts Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom damage. This is her biggest power spike.
C4
Improves Energy generation, making rotations smoother.
C6
Adds additional Lunar-Bloom damage instances and significantly boosts her personal DPS.
For most players, C0 or C1 is enough, while C2 is the ideal stopping point for investment.
Lauma is one of the best reaction supports in Genshin Impact because she is the driver for the entire Lunar Bloom reaction. Her off-field Dendro application, Hydro and Dendro RES shred, Lunar-Bloom conversions, and strong EM scaling make her a must-have for the teams where she works.
