Ontario Provincial Police say four teens have been charged in a late-night “crime spree” in Muskoka last week.

OPP said the officers received several calls involving break-and-enters and stolen vehicles in the Bracebridge and Huntsville area between the evening of July 28 and the early morning hours of July 29.

Police said officers had first responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street W. in Huntsville at 10:30 p.m. A window had allegedly been smashed and a vehicle was stolen from the property.

Then at 1:20 a.m., Bracebridge officers were called after a witness saw people attempting to enter a car on Maple St. in Port Carling, but they allegedly fled the scene after the witness honked at them.

Close to an hour later, at 2:15 a.m, Bracebridge officers responded to an alarm at a business on Lake Joseph Rd. in Georgian Bay Township, where another vehicle had allegedly been stolen.

The OPP said as officers were patrolling the area, they found the stolen vehicles on Carr Rd. in Port Carling, but the suspects had fled on foot.

Police said the four were located and arrested at 5:30 a.m. with the help of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP K9 unit.

Two 14-year-old boys from Huntsville have each been charged with two counts of breaking and entering a place to commit an indictable offence, three counts of mischief, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Two teen girls, aged 14 and 15, and also from Huntville, have each been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The identities of the youths are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Suspect sought in Beaches break-and-enter

Toronto Police are looking for a suspect accused of stealing items from storage lockers in an apartment building in the Beaches area last month.

Police said the man entered the apartment in the Kingston Rd. and Main St. area on July 13 at about 3:30 a.m.

He then headed to the basement level, where he allegedly broke into several storage lockers, stealing “a large quantity” of items belonging to the buildings’ residents, police said.

Police describe the suspect as between 30 and 40 years old, with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, a green baseball hat, a red bandana, and carrying a green backpack.

Shots fired at Halton home

Halton Regional Police said officers are investigating a shooting outside a home on James Young Dr. in Georgetown early Wednesday morning.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area at around 3 a.m.

The suspects had allegedly fled the scene, but officers found several rounds had been fired into a home and a vehicle parked on the home’s driveway.

Police said there were no reported injuries.

As the investigation is still ongoing, anyone with doorbell camera, home security camera or dashcam footage of anything suspicious in the area around the time of the shooting is asked to contact Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4777.

Photos, description of man sought in Scarborough sex assault released

Toronto Police have released photos and a description of a suspect sought in an alleged sexual assault that happened on Saturday.

Police said the victim was allegedly attacked on Aug. 1 at 2:46 a.m. while walking in an alleyway in the Steeles Avenue E. and Warden Ave. area.

Police said the suspect approached from the rear, pushed the victim to the ground, then sexually assaulted them.

He then allegedly fled the area, running towards Warden Ave.

Police described the suspect as male, brown, 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-8, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, red striped shorts, running shoes, and a blue medical mask.
