Now you can if you go to dbar at Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel in tony Yorkville. From Sept. 8-20, the ultra-luxury ground-floor bar is offering The Final Cut XO Sazerac, their $1,000 cocktail in honour of the Toronto International Film Festival, which goes from Sept. 10 to Sept. 20.
Crafted by Holly Hargrave, dbar’s assistant manager, this cocktail is made from the good stuff: Rémy Martin XO Cognac and 16-year-old Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which go for around $340 and $174 a bottle at the LCBO.
The luxe Sazerac is then finished off with Absinthe, Peychaud’s bitters, lemon oil and sugar at your table.
Designated driver
But there’s more. After you’ve finished your cocktail, you get a free chaffeured ride in the hotel’s Rolls-Royce to wherever you’re going next, within a two-kilometre radius of the hotel.
The Final Cut XO Sazerac is only available once a night, however, from 4 p.m. onward, with no reservations.
Star-studded festival
If you’re puttering around downtown, keep an eye out for Hollywood’s elite, who will be in town for the festival, Major names such as Cate Blanchett, Javier Bardem, and Channing Tatum are featured in some of the festival’s films and are expected to be out and about, which will make Toronto one of the premier places in the world for celebrity spotting in September.
And if you’re being ferried about town in the Four Seasons Rolls Royce after a $1,000 Sazerac, those celebrities might be trying to get a glimpse of you.
