The committee said that the RBFA’s request was “inadmissible,” given it isn’t an active party to the ongoing proceedings between FIFA and US Soccer.

The RBFA said the decision is a breach of FIFA’s rules and regulations, citing that “the RBFA has still not received any grounds for this decision, nor has it received the information it has been requesting since the start of this procedure for a copy of the decision and the motivation declaring the player eligible as well as the referee’s report.”

Balogun remains available to face Belgium in Seattle despite his red card and subsequent dismissal last week against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
