Fans spot Taylor Swift in photo of Brittany Mahomes with Patrick: She always gets the best angles

Brittany Mahomes' possibly endorsement of the Republican's Donald Trump doesn't seem to have affected her friendship with Taylor Swift after the pair were spotted in New York together, leaving everyone referencing the Eras Tour star in some photos.

The wife of the Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes had attracted a lot of criticism on social media for appearing to like a post advocating the Trump-JD Vance ticket in the 2024 United States Presidential Race.

However, instead of distancing herself from the controversial politician, the 28-year-old appeared to double down by accusing those calling her out as "haters" who have not had their brains fully develop, adding they were jealous of her success.

It has left the 34-year-old Swift, who has been close with Mahomes for over a year, in a tough spot from a PR perspective and fans wondered if she had called off their friendship when they didn't hang out at the Chiefs' Week 1 opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

But now Swift appears to have made her decision as she was snapped with Patrick, Brittany and Travis Kelce at the Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch the 2024 US Open final as Jannik Sinner defeated Taylor Fritz.

And eagle-eyed fans who were happy to see them back together sensed Swift was the one taking photos of the Mahomes' after Brittany uploaded two images to Instagram after watching the final Grand Slam of the year.

One user wrote of Patrick and Brittany's photo, "I love that we saw Taylor taking this picture! Y'all are a beautiful couple."

A second added, "Taylor always gets the best angles!"

And a third wrote, "It's the way that Taylor took the second pic."

Why was Brittany's actions tricky for Swift?

Donald Trump is controversial for countless reasons such as his policy on immigration, women's rights and foreign relations as well as economics, but it's particularly outside the bounds of the political field that he is a tricky situation for Swift to navigate.

The Eras Tour star, currently on a break until October, has been a long-time defender of women's rights and especially an advocate for survivors of sexual abuse against women and this is why Mahomes' actions gave her PR crew a headache to manage.

Some 26 women have publicly accused the 78-year-old former President of sexual misconduct ranging from groping to rape, including the infamous "grab 'em by the pu**y" recording from 2005.

Although Trump denies the charges against his name, the allegations continue to circle around the Republican candidate, meaning Mahomes' endorsement of Trump's politics isn't good for Swift's image through association with the NFL wife.
