Sean 'Diddy' Combs accuses alleged victim of extortion, reveals audio tape evidence

Sean "Diddy" Combs is fiercely disputing the indictment against him, alleging that it is rooted in an extortion attempt rather than genuine sex trafficking.

In a recent court filing, Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, contends that the sole alleged victim named in the indictment sought to blackmail the music mogul for $30 million.

In a letter obtained exclusively by In Touch, Agnifilo requested a review of a new bond package after Diddy's previous bond request was denied on September 17.

Despite offering $50 million in collateral, Diddy was deemed a "serious flight risk" by prosecutors, who cite his $1 billion net worth. The 54-year-old entertainment icon has been held in New York since his arrest on September 16.

What was Diddy's argument?

Agnifilo's letter highlights the defense's argument that the indictment names only one alleged victim, who had been in a decade-long romantic relationship with Diddy.

"The indictment charges only one victim," Agnifilo wrote.

"This person was an adult woman with her own life, separate from her involvement with Mr. Combs." The letter further claims that the woman expressed jealousy and anger over Diddy's other relationships, which contributed to their breakup.

Following the end of their relationship, Agnifilo asserts that the woman attempted to extort Diddy by demanding $30 million to prevent the publication of a tell-all book.

The conversation between the woman's lawyer and Diddy's team, recorded and presented by the defense, allegedly reveals this extortion attempt. When this strategy failed, the woman reportedly filed a civil suit under an expanded statute of limitations for sex cases.

Diddy settled the lawsuit not due to any criminal conduct but to avoid potential damage to his reputation and business.

The defense argues that evidence, including written communications, demonstrates a long-term, consensual relationship that was strained by mutual infidelity and jealousy. As the legal proceedings continue, a judge has yet to rule on Diddy's new request for bond, with the outcome of this case poised to impact his personal and professional life significantly.
