The rapper and music mogul is currently being held in MDC Brooklyn, a federal detention center in New York City, where TMZ sources confirm he is in the Special Housing Unit (SHU), isolated from the general population due to the high-profile nature of his case.

Former MDC Brooklyn warden Cameron Lindsay told TMZ that Diddy's placement in the SHU is a precaution to protect him from potential threats inside the facility.

According to Lindsay, inmates could see harming someone as famous as Diddy as a way to gain prestige behind bars - a "badge of honor". The combination of his fame and the serious charges he faces makes him a likely target.

Life in the SHU will be a stark adjustment for Diddy, who is accustomed to a lavish lifestyle. His days will follow a strict schedule, starting with a 06:00 wake-up call.

He will be required to make his bed, clean his cell, and mop the floor daily. Recreation time is limited to just one hour per day, and he will be allowed only three showers a week.

Diddy's meals, totaling 1,800 calories a day, will be prepared ahead of time and left in warming boxes before they are delivered to him-meaning the food will likely be far from fresh.

While he will have access to a commissary for small comforts like candy, coffee and clothing items, his isolation from the general population limits his social interaction.

According to Kousouros, an attorney for rapper Casanova, MDC Brooklyn is notorious for frequent violence, including fights and assaults, which makes the SHU a safer, though far more isolated, environment for someone in Diddy's position.
