Every Universal Pictures Movie Trailer at CinemaCon 2026

Universal Pictures definitely had an odd year in 2025. There were hits, no doubt, with the likes of Bad Guys 2, the live-action How to Train Your Dragon, and there were also films that did not meet the expectations that they were expected to, such as Jurassic World: Rebirth and Death of the Unicorn.

CinemaCon showcased what Universal Pictures had in store for 2026, and some heavy hitters could put the studio ahead of its peers. Universal showcased a slew of trailers at the event, most of which are available online. Trailers for films like Werwulf and Sense and Sensibility were shown to audiences for the best time. Here is everything that Universal Pictures put out a trailer for at CinemaCon 2026.

1 Forgotten Island

A DreamWorks animation project based on Philippine mythology, this project has already made waves online, carrying forward the animation style that was first seen in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Fans have already seen a trailer for the film, which was released online. The film stars H.E.R, Liza Soberano, and Jenny Slate. You can watch the trailer for the film here:

Joel Crawford, who is known for other DreamWorks features like The Croods: A New Age and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, will be directing the film. The latter of his two DreamWorks entries got him the Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.

2 The Odyssey

Perhaps the most anticipated entry into Christopher Nolan‘s canon, Universal Pictures has secured yet another high-budget film from the director after the studio succeeded with Oppenheimer. The Odyssey‘s first look has already received a lot of praise online, with Nolan going to great lengths to produce the film under Universal. The footage depicted most of the important characters of the story is realized in crisp IMAX. Here is the latest trailer for the film released by Universal Pictures:

The footage that was shared depicted a montage of events from the film. The footage opened with Matt Damon’s Odysseus talking to Calypso, struggling to remember his wife and child. The visual then shifts to Jon Bernthal (Menelaus) discussing the Trojan Horse with Tom Holland’s Telemachus. Universal Pictures is clearly betting big on this project, and fans are excited for the feature to hit theatres as well.

3 Disclosure Day

Steven Spielberg is back in the director’s chair with his newest science fiction feature, Disclosure Day. The film is based on a story that Spielberg himself has written, with the screenplay for the adaptation being penned by David Koepp. The film has a star-studded cast, with Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. Reminiscent of his earlier work, Spielberg once again tackles a political thriller with a UFO story. The footage showed Emily Blunt’s character beginning to speak in clicks, while Josh O’Connor’s character reveals that he can understand the broadcast. The clip ends with a first look at the alien. Unlike films like Arrival, or even Spielberg’s own films like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Disclosure Day is going to take a sterner look at aliens, with the extraterrestrials coming to planet Earth not having the best intentions.

4 Violent Night 2

Perhaps the least anticipated film in Universal’s slate, and the only sequel, Violent Night 2 is set to expand the story that stems from an unusual premise altogether. David Harbour plays an immortal Viking who has taken up the mantle of Santa. Little is known about the second film and what its plot is going to be, but the interesting premise is going to draw a lot of fans to watch the offering from Universal Pictures. The second film is set to star Kristen Bell as Mrs. Claus, who was first teased in the first film. Harbour is going to return to his role as Santa Claus.

The footage depicts Harbour’s Santa beginning work at a mall after getting kicked out of the North Pole. After having some heart-to-heart with the kids who are lined up to meet Santa, he is ambushed by assassin elves (via THR). Santa then receives an assist from Kristen Bell’s Mrs. Claus. The trailer for the film is yet to make it onto the internet.

5 Minions & Monsters

Through its Illumination animation wing, Universal has been making a lot of money from the Minions IP, which was an offshoot of the Despicable Me franchise. Now, the IP is one of the flagship properties of the company, even appearing in the intro sequence of their logo. The premise of the prequel is that the Minions are to produce a monster movie in the 1920s, and must hence find a monster that they can cast in the role.

The extended look at CinemaCon shows the Minions going through various struggles in Hollywood, before two among them decide that they want to make a film of their own. The film has a very talented cast to show off, with Christoph Waltz voicing a character in the clip that was shared.

6 Sense and Sensibility

The first footage of Sense and Sensibility has received a lot of great reviews right out of the gate. An adaptation of the Jane Austen novel of the same name, viewers are already calling it the best Austen adaptation to date. The trailer for the film is yet to hit the internet, but fans are very excited for what might be in store for them.

The film is to be directed by Georgia Oakley. Before this, the quintessential adaptation of the book has been considered to be the one that was directed by Ang Lee, which starred heavy hitters like Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson. Georgia Oakley’s story has been widely praised as bringing new light to the story. No trailer has yet hit the internet, but this is one classic adaptation that fans are looking forward to.

7 Werwulf

After his brilliant take on a classic horror movie villain in Nosferatu, Robert Eggers is back with his latest monster feature, Werwulf. bringing his signature look and feel to the latest Universal Horror project. Little is actually known about the film, except that it is set to star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson. All of these are frequent collaborators of Eggers, who has perfected a gothic, dark fantasy look for his films.

The trailer is yet to be revealed to the public online, but we have a description of the footage shared. The feature shared shows a house on fire, before cutting to Aaron Taylor-Johnson transforming into the titular monster (via Deadline). The film continues Eggers’ streak of dealing with dark fantasy and horror set in historical settings. The entire trailer has a 4:3 aspect ratio, which adds to the old-timey feel of the film. This was the same aspect ratio that The Lighthouse was shot in.

8 Focker-in-Law

The Meet the Parents franchise is finally getting another sequel, with Ben Stiller being joined by Robert DeNiro and fresh from her run with Wicked, Ariana Grande. Stiller introduced the film at CinemaCon, with the trailer for Focker-in-Law depicting a typical, old-school Hollywood comedy. You can watch the trailer for the film here:

The trailer depicts Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro pulling out all the stops to test Ariana Grande’s character, who is to marry Stiller’s son. The trailer reveals that Grande’s character is actually an ex-FBI agent, with a job that requires her to be manipulative. Sacred for his son, Stiller’s Grag Focker is going to try his level best to make sure that Grande is not going to break her son’s heart.
