Well, here is every NBC show that has been canceled or confirmed to be ending in 2026:

1 Law & Order: Organized Crime (ended after Season 5)

One of NBC’s high-profile cancellations was Law & Order: Organized Crime, the crime drama starring Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler. Meloni returned to his fan-favorite role after having left SVU after twelve seasons. 

While an exact reason for its ending was not given, it is likely that the spin-off had run its course. Five seasons feel like a complete wrap-up, yet it marked the end of one of the network’s most recognizable procedural dramas. 

Following its cancellation, Meloni took to Instagram and posted an emotional video. He thanked all the fans for sticking with him and stated how he had a great time playing a character that gave him a career he had never dreamed of. 

2 Brilliant Minds (ended after Season 2)

Starring Zachary Quinto, Brilliant Minds followed neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf, a character inspired by the work of renowned physician Oliver Sacks. 

Despite strong performances and a unique premise, the medical drama struggled in the ratings and became NBC’s lowest-rated scripted drama this season, as per Deadline. The network officially canceled the series after two seasons.

Its second season finale is scheduled to release on July 1. Despite its interesting premise, the show ended up being one of those that critics and viewers often appreciate more than ratings suggest. Well, in today’s evolving landscape, originality doesn’t always guarantee survival.

3 Stumble (ended after Season 1)

The freshman comedy Stumble became one of NBC’s shortest-lived series of 2026. The cheerleading mockumentary received generally positive reviews but failed to attract a large audience (via The Wrap). Created by Jeff and Liz Astrof, the series had its season finale in March and ranked as the network’s least-watched series. 

This cancellation almost feels like a reminder of how difficult it has become for new broadcast comedies to break through. Even well-received shows often struggle to find viewers in an increasingly fragmented entertainment market. 

4 Access Hollywood (ended after 30 years)

After three decades on television, Access Hollywood is coming to an end. NBC Universal announced it would exit first-run syndicated entertainment news programming, bringing one of television’s longest-running entertainment shows to a close (via Entertainment Weekly). The program first launched in 1996 and became a fixture of celebrity news coverage.

The show will continue producing till September, and is currently hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Zuri Hall, and Scott Evans. Regardless of how viewers felt about celebrity news programming, its ending feels symbolic of the industry’s shift toward digital media and social platforms. 

5 Access Daily (companion show of Access Hollywood)

Alongside Access Hollywood, NBCUniversal is also ending Access Daily. The daytime companion program’s fate became inevitable once the flagship show was discontinued.

Once the flagship brand disappears, supporting programs often struggle to justify their existence independently. 

6 The Steve Wilkos Show (ended after 19 seasons)

The Steve Wilkos Show, which ran for 19 seasons, is coming to an end. Hosted by the former Chicago policeman, the long-running talk show built a loyal audience over nearly two decades and became one of daytime television’s most recognizable conflict-resolution formats.

Having built a loyal audience over nearly two decades, it was the second-longest-running daytime talk show (via Variety). Unfortunately, its time has come as NBC Universal winds down its syndicated programming operations. 

The series will continue to air new episodes throughout the summer. Very few daytime programs manage to remain on the air that long, especially in an era where traditional television audiences continue to decline.

7 Karamo (ended after 4 seasons)

Hosted by Karamo Brown, Karamo was launched as a modern daytime talk show focused on relationships, personal conflicts, and social issues. Intended as a successor to Maury, the show will not be returning for a fifth season. Brown also recently said goodbye to Queer Eye.

Another cancellation as a result of NBC Universal’s decision to leave first-run syndication, it developed a dedicated fanbase. Yet, broader industry changes ultimately mattered more than the show’s performance. 

8 The Kelly Clarkson Show (ending after 7 seasons)

Unlike most entries on this list, The Kelly Clarkson Show wasn’t canceled due to ratings concerns. Clarkson herself announced that she would conclude the show after seven seasons to spend more time with her children and focus on family through an Instagram post. 

The Kelly Clarkson Show remains one of daytime television’s most successful programs. Its ending reflects a personal decision from the artist, who canceled Las Vegas residency dates last year after losing her ex-husband to cancer (via EW). 

Her decision to step away from the show was a personal choice, not affected by NBC Universal’s decision to end all first-run syndicated programming. The series will continue airing through fall 2026 before officially ending.

9 The Hunting Party (ended after Season 2)

The latest addition to NBC’s cancellation list is The Hunting Party. The crime procedural starring Melissa Roxburgh spent weeks on the bubble before NBC officially decided not to renew it for a third season. The show concluded after two seasons, though reports indicate that the studio may explore opportunities with other buyers (via The Wrap).

This cancellation comes as a surprise for fans who expected NBC to give the series another chance. While there is a chance that the series will find another home, the cancellation is deeply disappointing. If it fails to attract buyers, it will be yet another series that viewers lost to the changing television landscape.
