Every Jennifer Lopez Netflix Movie, Ranked Worst to Best

Jennifer Lopez has become a regular face on Netflix. Her production company, Nuyorican, has a deal with the streamer, and it has led to a steady run of films. But there’s a clear gap between how well her movies perform and how critics rate them. Audiences keep showing up in huge numbers, yet the reviews are rarely kind.

The reasons aren’t hard to identify. Most of her Netflix films rely on tired formulas. Her recent releases have included a by-the-numbers action thriller, a flat sci-fi misfire, and a predictable rom-com. Rather than being driven by strong scripts, these films tend to lean heavily on her star power.

Her latest movie, Office Romance, sums up that pattern. It has spent two weeks at No. 1 and pulled in 24.6 million views in the second week of June 2026, yet it received only middling reviews from critics and earned a Rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. Here’s how her four Netflix movies rank, from worst to best.

4 Atlas (2024)

This sci-fi action film is the weakest of the four. Lopez plays a data analyst who despises AI, only to discover it may be her last hope. In Atlas, the bond between human and machine never quite comes together, and all the flashy effects can’t make up for a predictable story. To her credit, Lopez gives the role her full effort, but the weak execution of an otherwise promising idea does her no favors.

What we got in the end was a laughable sci-fi flick with inferior VFX. M.N. Miller of FW called it “an artificial mess” and gave it a score of 3 in our review of Atlas. Even so, plenty of people watched the movie, as it opened to 28.2 million views in its first two days on the streamer (via Deadline).

3 The Mother (2023)

Lopez’s The Mother is a step up, though it still falls into a lot of familiar traps. Lopez plays a trained assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up. She is believable as a tough and watchable lead, but the trouble is everything around her. A weak script and dull action scenes keep the film stuck at average.

It’s solid and gripping in places, but easy to forget. However, audiences didn’t seem to mind the lukewarm reviews. It is still Lopez’s biggest Netflix opening, and it was the streamer’s most-watched movie of 2023 with 157.3 million views.

2 Office Romance (2026)

Jennifer Lopez’s return to the rom-com is her most divisive Netflix film. She plays airline boss Jackie Cruz, who falls for a new lawyer, played by Brett Goldstein, even though the company bans dating. The two leads are charming, and the film has real bright spots, but the tone is all over the place. The movie is caught between crude jokes and serious workplace drama, and that holds it back.

Alan French of FW gave Office Romance a 4/10 score in our review, sharing that “even J-Lo and Brett Goldstein cannot overcome a tonally inconsistent movie with trope-filled side characters.” Still, fans loved it, pushing it to No. 1 for two weeks straight.

1 Jennifer Lopez: Halftime (2022)

This is the clear winner, and the only one that isn’t fiction. The documentary follows Lopez as she gets ready for her 2020 Super Bowl Halftime show with Shakira and looks back on a career spent being underrated. Jennifer Lopez: Halftime is the rare project that lets her drop the genre packaging and just be herself.

It’s also easily the most engaging thing she’s made for Netflix. The Super Bowl focus can feel a bit narrow, and it doesn’t dig as deep into her artistry as it could. But seeing her tireless drive up close gives the film an advantage the other entries miss.
