Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer’s on-screen relationship in FRIENDS gave us some of the cutest moments in the sitcom. Despite having considerable problematic elements, the pair’s memorable chemistry made the relationship very interesting.

After years of rumors about an off-screen chemistry between the pair, the duo made headlines when David Schwimmer revealed at the reunion special that he had a major crush on Aniston. However, he clarified that they always maintained a boundary (via Screen Rant).

The first season I had a major crush on Jen. At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.

In response, Jennifer Aniston stated that “It was reciprocated.” Following that, the stars had to often face the question across many media outings. However, they never let any awkwardness take over them. The duo has been clear that they never took it very far.

Once again after the reunion special, many FRIENDS enthusiasts wondered if the duo would give it another shot this time. Considering both of them still share a very friendly bond and are presently single, it was not a far-fetched possibility but seemingly the actress has different plans.

Previously, during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Jennifer Aniston had stated that they decided to channel the off-screen chemistry into their on-screen relationship. On another appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the 55-year-old added that they never found the right time to consider the possibility. She also thinks that it would not have worked well.

David was great [but] we were in relationships. It was always never the right time, and it wouldn’t have worked. The beauty of that was, whatever feelings we had, we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel. I think maybe that’s why it resonated.

While Brad Pitt’s ex-wife revealed to us what made the pair look so good together, the fans can never stop thinking about the prospect of them dating in real life. Earlier this year, when David Schwimmer and Aniston reunited in a Super Bowl Uber Eats ad, the chemistry between them was still evident.

The fans can relive the iconic bond by streaming FRIENDS on Max.
