Could tensions with Hütter lead to Krösche's departure at Frankfurt?

The Hessen club's sporting director reportedly shares a frayed relationship with head coach Adi Hütter which could lead to an abrupt departure.

Markus Krösche could seemingly leave his role at Eintracht Frankfurt as early as this September, according to BILD.

The club's board will meet next Wednesday to discuss, among other things, how “an early end to the collaboration could be initiated.”

The background to this, besides the disastrous past season, is the strained relationship between Krösche and Adi Hütter.

Krösche, so the tabloid writes, also lost the trust of the supervisory board after his intense links with a move to AC Milan this summer. 

Therefore, it is quite possible that both sides will opt for a swift separation. The 45-year-old is contractually bound to the Eagles until 2028. 

At one stage, Krösche looked like a potential Max Eberl replacement – that has changed since Bayern Munich extended the latter's deal.

For the next few days, the focus remains firmly on the transfer market, with the likes of Hugo Larsson linked to Crystal Palace.
